Gluten free and vegan Biscoff spread

Biscoff spread is something I see so many (non gluten free!) people raving about, and is something I have always wanted to try. Sadly as it is made from gluten filled Biscoff biscuits, I have never never been able to try it. When I saw that Schar had launched a Biscoff style biscuit, I knew I had to try making my own spread. The Schar Spekulatius biscuits are available to buy in Asda and Sainsburys, and are Free From gluten, dairy and egg!

My Biscoff spread is perfect for topping brownies (Click here for my gluten free and vegan brownie recipe) and also perfect for porridge bowls, on toast or just eating out of the jar! The spread is best served on the day you make it, but will keep in the in an air tight jar for 2 weeks (just heat it up for about 20 seconds in the microwave if it goes a little hard!). If you do make my Biscoff spread recipe I’d love to see, don’t forget to tag me in your photos over on social media!

Gluten free and vegan Biscoff spread

Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Schar Spekulatius biscuits (available to buy in Asda and Sainsburys)
  • 1 tbsp melted dairy free butter
  • 3-4 tbsp dairy free milk (I used gluten free oat milk)
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Add all of your ingredients to a food processor (Start by adding 3 tbsp of dairy free milk and add more depending on how thick you want your spread to be).
  • Blitz until completely smooth, scraping down the side of the food prosessor when needed.
  • Use to swirl on top of brownies or keep in an air tight container.

Notes

This spread is best served on the day you make it, but it can be kept in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks.

I absolutely love seeing what you’ve created, so if you do make this recipe (or any other recipe from my website) don’t forget to tag me over on my social media pages @glutenfreealice and use the hashtag #glutenfreealice

  • This recipe looks great! Does the spread set at room temperature/fridge temp like regular Biscoff spread? Or does it stay runny?

    • Thank you. The spread does set in the fridge but you can always heat in the microwave for 10 seconds to loosen it up a little.

    • Hi Dawn,
The brownie recipe is linked in the post near the top where it says (click here for my gluten free and vegan brownie recipe :))
      Thanks,
      Alice

  • Hi 🙂

I am going to make this spread to use it in a gluten free, egg free and dairy free biscoff cheesecake. I need 350g of biscoff spread in total. Do I need to double this recipe?

    Thanks 😊
