Find out more about my cookbook!

I can’t believe I’m saying this. but my new cookbook, ‘The Everything Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free Baking Cookbook’ is now available to buy.

‘The Everything Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free Baking Cookbook’ contains 200 recipes ranging from classic cakes to cupcakes, cookies, bread, brownies, bars, sweet and savoury pies, simple desserts, celebration cakes, snacks, party food and much more! Whether you have coeliac disease, a food allergy or intolerance or are simply baking for family or friends, you are sure to find new recipes you will absolutely love.

*The Everything Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free Baking Cookbook is part of the US ‘The Everything Book Of’ series therefore uses US ingredient names, cup measurements and degrees F oven temperatures. However as someone from the UK, I (of course) wanted to make sure it was also suitable for my UK audience too. Therefore each recipe also has the gram measurements and degrees C oven temperatures written in brackets. There is also a handy US to UK ingredient converter on page 20 incase you are unsure of what a certain ingredient is.

What recipes can I expect in the book?

The book contains a huge selection of recipes ranging from breakfasts to muffins, scones and quick breads, yeast breads, savoury pies and pizzas, snacks and party food, classic cakes and cupcakes, loaf cakes, celebration cakes, pies and tarts, cookies, brownies and bars, simple desserts and no bake treats.

How much is the book to purchase?

The cost of the book varies slightly depending on which retailer you purchase from. It is currently retailing on Amazon at $17.99 in the US and £12.84 in the UK.

Which gluten free flours are used in the book?

The majority of recipes in the book use simple pre mixed plain (all purpose) or self-raising flour blends. I wanted to make sure the recipes were all easy to make, and didn’t require any hard to source ingredients.

Note: Different pre mixed gluten free flour blends can give slightly different results, I would recommend using a brand like FREEE by Doves Farm if you live in the UK which uses a mix of Rice, potato, maize and buckwheat flour. If you are based elsewhere, I would recommend looking for a flour which contains a similar blend of ingredients.

Which unit of measurements are used in the book?

The book uses both cup and gram measurements making it accessible for people living in the US and UK. However, if you do have a set of scales, I would personally recommend using these instead of cups as they are always a more precise way of baking.

Are all the recipes in the book new, or are they recipes from your blog?

The majority of the recipes in the book are brand new however some old favourites from the blog are included too.

Are there photos for every recipe?

As the book contains 200 recipes, there simply isn’t room for photos with every recipe (without the book being huge!). However you will find a selection of beautiful images throughout.

Are all the recipes sweet, or are there any savoury options?

Around three quarters of the recipes in the book are sweet, but there are savoury options too including savoury breakfasts, bread, comforting pies, pizzas and savoury party food.

Are the recipes suitable for beginners or more experienced bakers?

The book is aimed at everyone, with plenty of simple recipes for beginners but also a few slightly more challenging recipes too.

Does the book contain any vegan recipes?

You will find a selection of vegan recipes within the book however lots of the recipes do contain eggs and some of the savoury recipes contain meat and fish.

I’m gluten free but not dairy free, can I replace the dairy free ingredients for normal milk/butter etc?

You can easily switch the dairy free ingredients for normal milk, butter, cream and cheese in the majority of recipes. The only ingredient that can’t be switched is canned coconut milk as the thick coconut is required in some recipes.

I’m dairy free but not gluten free, can I replace the gluten free flour for normal wheat flour?

You can easily switch the gluten free flour for normal wheat flour in most of the cake and cookie recipes. However this wouldn’t work for the bread chapter, as baking gluten free bread requires more liquid to normal wheat bread.

Thanks so much for all the support on the book already! If you do enjoy the book I would love for you to leave it a 5 star review!

If you have any more questions about the book please leave me a comment or drop me an email on glutenfreealice@yahoo.com and I will get back to you ASAP.

      Hi Janet,

Thanks so much! The book sadly isn’t available in hardback. It’s available to buy in paperback or as an ebook.

      Hope this helps.
