  • 1 block smoked tofu (See FAQs)
  • 2 tablespoons gluten free soy sauce (See FAQs)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic (Finely chopped or crushed)
  • 1 thumb size piece of ginger (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 red pepper
  • Cooked white rice
  • 3 spring onions (finely chopped)

  • Drain your tofu and press with a kitchen towel to soak up any extra liquid. Cut the tofu into small square chunks and add to a bowl.
  • In separate bowl mix together the marinade – soy sauce, maple syrup, rice wine vinegar, garlic and ginger. Pour over the tofu and mix well. Place in the fridge for 1 hour to marinate.
  • Heat a large frying pan on a medium to high heat with sesame oil. Add the marinated tofu and fry for around 5 minutes on each side until it starts to crisp up. Add the pepper and fry for a further few minutes. Add the sesame seeds and mix well.
  • Serve the tofu and peppers with white rice. Top with spring onions.
