If you are after a tasty and easy vegan tofu recipe then look no further, my sesame tofu combines all the tasty flavours of maple syrup, sesame oil, gluten free soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger and garlic and is served with rice, peppers and spring onions. Drain your tofu and press with a kitchen towel to soak up any extra liquid. Cut the tofu into small square chunks and add to a bowl.
In separate bowl mix together the marinade – soy sauce, maple syrup, rice wine vinegar, garlic and ginger. Pour over the tofu and mix well. Place in the fridge for 1 hour to marinate.
Heat a large frying pan on a medium to high heat with sesame oil. Add the marinated tofu and fry for around 5 minutes on each side until it starts to crisp up. Add the pepper and fry for a further few minutes. Add the sesame seeds and mix well.
Serve the tofu and peppers with white rice. Top with spring onions.
