February favourites

It’s that time again where I go through my favourite gluten and dairy free finds of the month, including restaurants, products, cafes, meals and recipes. It’s been a short month but that doesn’t mean I’m lacking in favourites, in fact I probably have more than usual. So here goes, these are my top finds from February!

Ugo Thrive Pumpkin and Sage Raviolini

Formerly known as Evexia Thrive, Ugo Thrive have recently had a makeover and added some new products to their range including this pumpkin and sage raviolini. This product is the first fresh pasta in the UK to be Free From all 14 major allergens including egg, dairy, gluten, nuts and is also suitable for vegans! Pick up this fresh pasta from Sainsbury’s or Waitrose for RRP £3.00.

Morrison’s meal deal

Morrison’s have recently added Free From sandwiches to their range including this delicious chicken salad sandwich which is gluten and dairy free. Free From sandwiches are generally very expensive but this one is included in the £3 meal deal, which means you can also get a drink and side without having to spend a fortune.

Bakewell Box

Bakewell box is a very new company that specialise in refined sugar and gluten free monthly baking boxes for just £12 a month or £33 for a 3 month subscription. They basically send you out the ingredients for 2 different bakes each month all measured out and labelled with a recipe card. January’s box contained the ingredients for banana and cacao muffins and coconut energy balls! For more information about Bakewell box, click here to be directed to their website.

My gluten and dairy free cinnamon sugar doughnut recipe

One of the very first recipes I posted onto my blog was the recipe for these gluten and dairy free cinnamon sugar doughnuts. I made the doughnuts again this month and was reminded of how delicious they are, so thought I would share the recipe again for those of you that haven’t seen it! Click here for my recipe.

Guilt Free Simplicities are an online company that specialise in healthy treat alternatives that are gluten free, dairy free and suitable for vegans! They have various flavours such as chocolate orange, black cherry and coconut, double chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip and guilt free rochers! Natural Healthy Foods, Birmingham

I went to Natural Healthy Foods in Birmingham for the first time this month and absolutely loved it! They have recently started serving brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings which is all totally gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free and vegan! I went for the smashed avocado on gluten free bread with hash browns, an almond milk latte and a berry cacao smoothie. A definite recommendation for me that is tasty and reasonably priced, I’m actually heading back this weekend. Click here to be taken to their website.

Morrisons Free From biscuits

Morrison’s have stepped up with their Free From options this month with new fresh bread, pizza bases, naan bread and these amazing biscuits. I spotted these a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love these 2 flavours, cocoa and vanilla cream wheels and raspberry sandwich creams at an RRP of £1.60 per box.

Asda Free From hot cross buns

Asda have recently released a new Free From hot cross bun which is gluten free, dairy free, egg free and suitable for vegans! They retail for £2 and taste great, perfect with some melted dairy free butter on top.

Broadway market, London

After hearing some great reviews from other food bloggers about Broadway market in London, I thought I would take a visit. I couldn’t believe how many amazing gluten free stalls there were, including gluten free and vegan pancakes by Osu Coconuts, gluten and dairy free doughnuts, oreos and peanut cookies by Floris Foods, beautiful rainbow meringues by Meringue Girls and gluten and dairy free cakes by Eat and Mess. I will definitely be returning! To read all about my top Free From eateries in London, click here.

Nature’s Path Superflake’s

Another favourite of mine this month are the new Nature’s Path Superflake’s which are gluten free and dairy free. They come in 2 different flavours, cocoa and chocolate and honey and chia, which both taste great! You can buy these cereals in various UK supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose for £3.50.

Nibsy’s, Reading

I’ve spoken about Nibsy’s entirely gluten free cafe in Reading on here before but I popped in again last weekend and was so impressed by some of the new options. I went for a vegan panini filled with salad, hummus, vegan pepper cheese, cucumber and tomato with a vegan rocky road. You can find Nibsy’s in Reading town centre, click here to visit their website.

Delicious Alchemy white bread mix

My final monthly favourite is the Delicious Alchemy gluten and dairy free white bread mix which I used this month to make a tasty olive bread. The bread mix costs just £2.49 and can be brought in various UK supermarkets or online, click here to visit the website.
