Nutribrex has always been one of my top picks for a quick and easy gluten free breakfast, so when they gave me some of their new coconut and crispy rice and 5 ways granola to try, I was very excited to experiment with some delicious breakfast ideas. If you haven’t already heard of Nutribrex, they are the UKs very first breakfast brand to introduce a gluten free alternative to normal wheat based cereal. Everyone will have heard of Weetabix before, and Nutribrex are an amazing gluten and dairy free alternative to this! The brand started with their original Nutribrex flavour which are sold in a bright pink box, they then moved on to creating their coconut and crispy rice breakfast alternative, as well as 2 flavours of versatile granola – honey, almonds and seeds and hazelnut, coconut and quinoa. As you can see from the photos of the packaging below, the bright colours stand out on the supermarket shelf, as does the product inside.
Nutribrex cereals are all gluten free, dairy free, suitable for vegans, high in fibre and the perfect healthy and filling breakfast to start the day off. I’m a huge snacker, and normally can’t get from breakfast to lunch without some sort of snack, however, Nutribrex is one of the only breakfasts that actually keeps me full until lunch! Nutribrex can be brought in most major UK supermarkets including Waitrose, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Wholefoods and Ocado.
The amazing part about the granola, is it’s versatility and the amount of ways it can be used, for example, as a granola, porridge, topping, bircher muesli, in a smoothie or incorporated into baking! Here are some of the ways in which I have been using my Nutribrex to create delicious breakfast ideas:
Coconut and crispy rice served with fresh fruit
The simple breakfast below can be made in a matter of minutes by heating your coconut and crispy rice in the microwave with almond milk and topping with fresh fruit. I went for bananas, raspberries and of course, a dairy free almond milk latte to go with it.
Hazelnut, coconut and quinoa 5 ways granola served with dairy free yoghurt and toppings
I served the hazelnut, coconut and quinoa granola with almond milk, plain dairy free yoghurt, blueberries, sunflower seeds and a drizzle of peanut butter. This mixture is also delicious mixed together and left in the fridge over night to form a dairy free overnight oats mixture.
Honey, almond and seeds granola with ALL the toppings
The granola bowl below combines the honey, almonds and seeds 5 ways granola mix with coconut yoghurt, fresh fruit (figs, blueberries and raspberries), pumpkin seeds, cacao nibs and a drizzle of peanut butter.
Apple and blackberry crumble!
I used the Nutribrex 5 ways honey, almonds and seeds granola to make a delicious topping for an apple and blackberry crumble. The granola is the perfect consistency for a crumble topping and this was served with a dairy free yoghurt. Ideal for pudding, breakfast or snacking!
5 ways granola with dairy free chocolate almond milk
I served the hazelnut, coconut and quinoa granola bowl below with a dark chocolate almond milk, frozen raspberries, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and cacao nibs. The granola works perfectly with a chocolate milk and is the perfect sweet breakfast.
Nutribrex with coconut yoghurt
Nutribrex hazelnut, coconut and quinoa granola is also perfect served with coconut yoghurt. The pudding bowl below was topped with raspberries, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, cacao nibs and sunflower seeds.
Nutty chocolate and raspberry bowl with Nutribrex
The beautiful bowl below combines dairy free plain yoghurt, honey, raspberries, dark chocolate, almonds and sultanas with a sprinkling of Nutribrex 5 ways honey, almond and seeds granola.
Nutribrex with fruit and seeds
The bowl below combines original Nutribrex served with almond milk, raspberries, blueberries, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. A perfect healthy breakfast combination.
Nutribrex 5 ways granola can also be mixed with almond milk and heated in the microwave to form a delicious warming porridge, that is perfect for those cold winter mornings. The simple porridge bowl below is topped cinnamon, sultanas and raspberries.
As you can see, I am loving using Nutribrex to create delicious, healthy and filling breakfasts at the moment and can’t wait to try out more variations using the granola and coconut and crispy rice.
