I can’t believe I’m writing my September favourites already, meaning that it’s now October! This year is flying by and I’m now super excited for Halloween, Christmas, cosy nights in, fluffy blankets, candles and lots of warm comforting food! I also can’t wait to blog about all the gluten and dairy free food that I make/come across over the next few months! Anyhow, here are my monthly favourites for September, I hope this gives you some gluten and dairy free food inspiration 🙂
Seed & Sage cacao and raspberry sun brownie
I had never heard of Seed & Sage until recently when I was lucky enough to win some brownies (and other bits and bobs) in an Instagram competition! The brownies come in 4 different flavours, cacao and raspberry (my favourite), cacao and orange, salted date caramel and pecan and banana cake. They are suitable for Vegetarian or Paleo diets and free from gluten, dairy, added sugar, additives and preservatives as well as tasting incredible. Seed & Sage brownies can be brought online from their website at: www.seedandsage.com
Morrisons gluten free chicken goujons
I don’t normally shop in Morrisons, however I fancied a change a couple of weeks ago and thought I would try them out. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the amount of freefrom products they had in store. My top find were these gluten free breaded chicken goujons which I had for dinner with homemade chips, salad and corn on the cob. A really quick and easy dinner which is tasty and delicious!
Primal Joy bars
I picked up these Primal Joy bars at Thrive Festival in Birmingham last month and have since found them in Wholefoods. These bars come in a variety of different flavours and are refined sugar free, gluten free and the majority also dairy free. My favourite flavour was the fig and orange pudding bar which reminded me of christmas! I would definitely recommend trying these for a delicious sweet treat.
The White Rabbit Pizza Company smokin’ vegan pizza
The White Rabbit is an amazing pizza company specialising in gluten free pizza. They have recently released a ‘Smokin vegan’ pizza which uses a dairy free cheese on a gluten free base topped with olives, peppers and chilli. If you are Coeliac, gluten intolerant, milk intolerant, or vegan I can’t recommend this pizza enough! It’s perfect as a quick and easy dinner and means I can also enjoy shop brought pizza on family pizza nights! White Rabbit pizza can be brought in Sainsbury’s. Carluccio’s gluten free menu
Carluccio’s is one of my all time top picks for gluten free eating. They have a freefrom menu which is clearly labeled with everything that is gluten free, dairy free and vegan. I recently went for a meal and had a delicious prawn dish with gluten free bread to start and the gluten free beef ragu pasta for main. If you are a newly diagnosed Coeliac and are looking for a restaurant that is great with allergies/intolerances, then Carluccio’s is a great pick!
Deliciously Alchemy gluten and dairy free celebration cake kit
I was recently sent a new product by Deliciously Alchemy which I was very excited about! The product is their new gluten and dairy free celebration cake kit which comes with gluten free cake mix, chocolate icing, decorations and white icing for writing a personal message. For more about this new cake kit, click here to see my review. I used the cake to make a gluten and dairy free cake for my mums 50th birthday and it tasted amazing!
M&S Nourish Bowl
I have been loving the new M&S Edamame and black rice nourish bowl this month. I’m not normally much of a salad person however all of the different ingredients in this taste amazing together. These bowls can be brought in Mark’s and Spencer’s for £3.50 and are gluten and dairy free! If you would like to see more quick ‘on the go’ lunch ideas in the UK, click here.
Schar deli style sourdough loaf
I have been really enjoying the new Schar deli style sourdough loaf this month. I was very lucky to receive a huge box of Schar goodies to try and I think this loaf was my favourite. To see my full review of Schar products along with how I used them to create a gluten free lunch buffet, click here. I have been loving this loaf toasted and served with peanut butter and banana.
Jus Rol gluten free pastry
I love any sort of pastry, so finding a gluten free pastry that tastes delicious was amazing. I found this Jus Rol pastry in Tesco in the freefrom fridge section and used it to make some cinnamon and sultana swirls, click here for my recipe. This pastry is gluten free, dairy free, versatile and tastes great.
So there you have it, my September favourites. I hope you have enjoyed this post and hopefully get chance to try some of the amazing food!
