Nature’s Path breakfast goodies!

One of the brands I met at the Allergy and Freefrom show was Nature’s Path, which is a family owned and operated organic breakfast and snack foods company, that sells lots of different gluten free cereal’s and granola’s. The majority of the cereal’s are suitable for coeliac’s, vegan’s and people with milk intolerances which is perfect for me. It’s always so difficult to find breakfast cereal’s which are a) gluten free b) dairy free c) not full of sugar and d) taste good! – So finding Nature’s Path has been amazing!

Whilst I was at the show I brought my favourite granola (The pumpkin seeds, almonds and raisins flavour), some of the trail mix granola bars and some porridge sachets and then was very kindly sent over some samples as well. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and so I have had great fun testing all of the flavours!

IMG_5157I have to say, I have never eaten so much cereal in a short space of time and I love them all! Here are the products which I was sent and have now tested as well as all of the allergy and nutritional information.

Nice and Nobbly Granola – Pumpkin seeds, almonds and raisins with a light dash of cinnamon.

Nutritional info: Per 30g serving – 140 kcal.

Allergy advice: Gluten free, wheat free, vegan, organic. Contains almonds. May contain traces of peanuts, other traces of nuts, milk and soy.

This granola is gluten free and doesn’t contain any milk based products however in the allergy advice it does say ‘may contain traces of milk’. For me – Being intolerant to milk I have always felt great after eating the granola. My favourite way to eat this is with some Alpro soya yoghurt, fruit and honey. This granola is the best one I have ever tried and over the past couple of years I have got through a lot of bags! It’s full of tasty chunks and to be honest – I have not yet come across another granola which meets the high standards of this one!

*PLEASE NOTE: this is not milk free.

Nice and Nobbly granola – Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and yoghurt chunks.

Nutritional info: Per 30g serving – 140 kcal.

Allergy advice: Gluten free, wheat free, organic. Contains yoghurt, milk and soy. May contain traces of peanuts and tree nuts.

Out of all the products I was sent this is the only one that I unfortunately could not try due to it containing milk, however is great for Coeliacs who aren’t intolerant to milk! My Mum who is also a Coeliac absolutely loves this flavour and secretly enjoys the fact I can’t eat it as she now has 2 bags to get through!

Mesa Sunrise – Multigrain cereal made with organic corn flakes, flax, quinoa and amaranth.

Nutritional info: Per 30g serving – 120 kcal.

Allergy advice: Gluten free, wheat free, vegan, organic. May contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts and soy.

This tasty, crispy cereal is absolutely spot on for taste and texture and is also one of Nature’s Path best known cereals. It won ‘best free from breakfast cereal’ at the Free From awards in 2011 and I can see why! The product contains 10g of protein per 100g as well as 10g of fibre and could be compared to a healthier and less sugary version cereal’s such a Special K.

Munch – Crunchy and delicious wholegrain organic corn balls.

Nutritional info: Per 30g serving – 120 kcal.

Allergy advice: Gluten free, wheat free, vegan, organic. May contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts and soy.

This is my personal favourite flavour out of all the cereals I was sent to try and is super crunchy and tasty! Its slightly sweeter than most of the other flavours and definitely sets me up for the day. Perfect with served with a dairy free milk (my favourite is almond milk!).

O’s – Organic and wholegrain rice.

Nutritional info: Per 30g serving – 120 kcal.

Allergy advice: Gluten free, wheat free, vegan, organic. May contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts and soy.

A tasty, organic and lower in sugar alternative to normal Cheerios – This is a great healthier alternative to normal cereal and tastes delicious!

IMG_5269 Maple sunrise – whole grain cereal with a delicious diversity of crunchy textures made from corn, rice, flax, quinoa, buckwheat and amaranth.

Nutritional info: Per 30g serving – 110 kcal.

Allergy advice: Gluten free, wheat free, vegan, organic. May contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts and soy.

Feed me anything maple syrup flavoured and I’m happy – This is definitely the most interesting flavour that I tried packed with different textures. It looks like a cross between golden nuggets and special K but contains much less sugars and sodium – worth a try for sure!

Crispy Rice – light crispy cereal made from organic brown rice.

Nutritional info: Per 30g serving – 110 kcal.

Allergy advice: Gluten free, wheat free, vegan, organic. May contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts and soy.

Probably the most simple of all the cereals this is the equivalent of normal rice crispy’s however much healthier with far less sugar. Perfect for breakfast or for using to bake healthier alternatives.

Overall, I really enjoyed all of the Nature’s Path breakfast goodies and will be restocking once I run out! My favourites are the Orange granola and the Munch corn balls. Try them out and let me know your favourite flavour!
