The allergy and freefrom show – My experience and freefrom food haul!

Last Saturday I attended the allergy and freefrom show in London, Olympia for the very first time and it was amazing! I have been Coeliac for nearly 8 years now but had never really heard of the show until I started my gluten free Instagram page and I have to say that I have been missing out! The show was for anyone living with allergies, intolerances, eczema or coeliac disease, or living ‘free from’ gluten, wheat, eggs, nuts or dairy. It was full of hundreds of different speciality stalls where you could taste amazing free from food and try numerous different products as well as talk to specialists. The show was sponsored by Schar and everyone attending was given a goodie bag full of freefrom products!

Throughout the day I tried numerous different freefrom foods . I’m so used to only having 1 or 2 gluten and milk free choices when eating out or trying to find lunch on the go, but I could eat about 90% of the food at the show – How amazing! For lunch I picked up a gluten free, dairy free and vegan wrap from the Baba Ghanoush street food stand made using Bfree wraps, falafel, hummus, lettuce, peppers and more! I also had to try a Yorica moments dairy free ice-cream – I have seen this brand on Instagram but as I’m not from London, I have never had the chance to try them. I had the strawberry flavour and it was incredible! – I now want to try all the flavours but was too full at the time – Looks like another trip to London is in order!

IMG_5133IMG_5115Whilst at the show I had the opportunity to talk to so many different freefrom brands and I managed to accumulate quite the haul! Everything was being sold at discounted prices and I was also very kindly given some free samples, so overall I only spent about £25 including lunch! Here’s some of the products I picked up whilst at the show:

Collective haul of everything that I picked up at the show.

Freaks of Nature gluten and dairy free puddings – I have already tried 2 of the flavours and they are delicious.

Livia’s Kitchen biccy boms – chocolate and salted maca caramel flavoured – These were on offer at the show so couldn’t resist picking some up.

Newburn bakehouse crumpets and tiger bloomer.

Newburn bakehouse tiger bloomer – If you try anything from this haul I would recommend this! – It’s the best gluten free bread I have tried to date – crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.

Alevra gluten free bread mix.

Schar gluten free breadsticks.

Sweet freedom choc pot.

Kate Percy’s apricot and seeds go bites.

Natures path goodies! – My absolute favourite granola, granola bars and porridge.

Orgran vegan egg. Although I’m not a vegan I’m still looking forward to trying out some recipes using this.

Autumn Brewing Co gluten free beer.

Moma goodies! (can you spot a breakfast theme here!?) The Bircher muesli mixed with Alpro soya yoghurt is my new favourite breakfast!

NutriBrex granola packets. – Even more breakfast goodies!

Green Sisters Gluten free and vegan samosa – This was absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend checking our there website. – https://greensisters.co.uk/

Overall, I had the best time at the Allergy and Freefrom show where I got the chance to meet lots of lovely brands and bloggers. I’m already looking forward to next years show!

  1. This looks like such a good haul! I went last year and it was amazing but I was busy this year 🙁. Glad you had a good time! Xx

  2. […] in London, Liverpool, Glasgow and Berlin and after visiting the London show earlier this year (click here for my London allergy and freefrom show blog), I was very excited to head to Liverpool to see what they had to […]

  3. […] My Instagram account has also allowed me to meet so many like minded people, and I have been very lucky to get to make some lovely friends too. It’s also allowed me to find out about different Free From events, which I had never heard of back in 2016. Throughout the year I have been to the London and Liverpool Allergy and Free From shows, Thrive Festival in Birmingham and the Free From Event in Bristol. Each of these shows allowed me to meet with fellow bloggers and Free From brands, which I loved! My favourite show had to be the London Allergy and Free From show, where I came home with a huge haul of Free From treats and I’m already excited for the 2018 show!
